Different people have different needs with nutrition programs.

 

Hiring a nutritionist or dietician is the most expensive option, but it may not be the best for some people.

 

From experience I have discovered that there are vast differences from individual to individual.  I would consider myself to have extensive knowledge about nutrition and the body's metabolic processes but my main focus is training.

The Medifast diet is a low carb, low calorie diet plan.  You pay nothing to join the program.  What you pay for is their food.  The diet claims to put you in a state of mild ketosis in which your body is forced to burn fat.  If followed correctly the weight will come off fairly rapidly.  After using the plan to lose weight it will be a challenge to keep your weight low as eating like this long term will be unhealthy due to Calorie restriction.
