Supplements along with Diet Will
Increase Your Gains!
When looking to gain muscle there is
no substitute for proper training and
consuming enough Calories.
If you can't get enough Calories,
specifically Calories from protein,
supplements such as meal replacements
would be a good source.
If you know you're getting enough
Calories then it may be a good idea to
check out non-Caloric supplements such
as creatine that were designed to help
you increase your strength and muscle
mass.
REMEMBER: When a supplement
makes claims which sound too good to be
true, they probably are.

Creatine
Ethyl Ester
Creatine has been proven to get good results for most
people. Once the most expensive supplement is now
cheap in it's monohydrate form The newest form of
creatine, ethyl ester (caps or tabs) is taken 30 minutes
prior to working out on an empty stomach and has seemed to
improve the effects of creatine and lessen the side effects.
Expect to gain strength and lean muscle mass with no side
effects. |

L
Glutamine
L - Glutamine is an conditionally essential amino acid.
This means that your body may need to get it from diet and
it may synthesize it. The benefits of L-Glutamine
include too many to list. Most importantly it seems to
help your muscles volumize and work synergistically with
creatine. Good L-Glutamine such as Iron Tek will
dissolve completely in water and have no taste. |

N02
No2 was a product created by a SF bay area guy named
Edward Bryd. His company MRI patented the originally
delivery system which was supposed to make the product work.
It works by dilating the blood vessels which causes greater
nutrient delivery and uptake. It claims to give you a
perpetual pump, aka your muscles feel full all day like
after lifting. No2 is definitely not effective for
everybody but some people swear by it. |

Maltodextrin
(Twinlab Ultra Fuel)
If you are very skinny and have found it very difficult to
gain weight, this not so secret stuff may be the answer.
Maltodextrin is a easily digestible carbohydrate made of
corn starch. It is the carb in many supplements.
It is a complex carbohydrate that is fed to sled dogs in
their water before the Iditarod. It tastelessly
dissolves in water and can jack up your carb and calorie
intake. Insane energy for workouts and recovery.
Plain maltodextrin will do and is cheap but some products
have flavor and other sugars such as Ultra fuel from
twinlab. |

When someone asks you what you're drinking tell them you
are drinking a chicken breast, sweet potato and vegetables
and taking a multivitamin, but it tastes just like chocolate
vanilla or strawberry. Myoplex has a great mix of
nutrients, moderate complex carbs, essential fats and and 50
grams
of protein. You can't do any better than Myoplex
deluxe, it also is very filling. The only con is it is
messy, you have to make in a shaker or blender.
Myoplex deluxe has around 350 Calories. |

Myoplex
Deluxe Bars
Myoplex deluxe bars have the best nutrition out of any of
the meal replacement bars. They have enough Calories

of your nutrition plan. |
Pre-Exercise Supplementation for
Gaining Muscle
Gaining muscle mass requires intense
exercise. Intense exercise
requires energy. Having the
correct supplement or food before your
exercise will get you through your
exercise session. It will also
minimize the breakdown of your lean
mass.
You want to burn fat, you don't want
to deplete your muscle stores.
Follow the directions of your
supplements. Experiment to find
the optimal amount of time between your
last intake of food/supplement and your
training.
Post-Exercise Supplementation for
Gaining Muscle
If you are exercising for gaining
muscle and you don't have a high enough
Calorie intake you will not gain.
The first couple hours after your
workout is the time to eat a good
percentage of your daily Calories.
I recommend consuming supplement
immediately after the cessation of your
training session. This supplement
should be at least 4 : 1 carbohydrate :
protein. This depends on the whole
of your diet so adjust accordingly.
Then within an hour and a half after
your training session have your largest,
low fat meal of the day. If you
don't have time to eat a supplement
should be consumed.
