Following these Simple Healthy Tips could Drastically Change your Body!

Through research and experimenting over the years I have came up with some strategies to keep the diet healthy.

Personally I have 2 things working against me. I am m a sweet tooth and overeater.  So my list may be biased in favor of those two issues.

Be Mindful of What You Eat!

I don't mean to get religious on you but, being mindful of what you eat is part of all religions.  Saying Grace before eating dinner is an example.  Certain religions prohibit certain foods, etc.

A specific idea of mindfulness comes from a Buddhist idea of constant awareness.  How often have you been at a party or just sitting at your house and unconsciously shove appetizers down your throat?

We often don't think or appreciate the food we eat, plain and simple.  So next time you sit down before a meal think about it.  Trace the origin of the food from the sun down to the earth to the store, etc.

If you do this one time, it will definitely show you that you haven't been mindful of your food in the past.  Each time you eat without being mindful, you will notice.  Try this, it is an eye opener!

Drink Plenty of Water

The human body made up of around 70% water.  Without water our cells could not perform the reactions which keep us alive.

If the first 2 reasons are not enough for you.  Being properly hydrated throughout the year has a significant influence on your metabolism.

Some studies have concluded that a hydrated person vs. a dehydrated person could lose 35,000 Calories or 10 pounds of fat in 1 year!

While dieting to lose weight you should drink a gallon of water per day to be safe.  If you think this sounds like too much, within a week you will get used to it and not have to frequent the restroom.

EAT Plenty of Water

Eating fruits and vegetables and avoiding processed foods accomplishes this.  Processed foods, such as chips, cookies, dried fruits, et cetera are very dry.  The minerals and vitamins are therefore taken away.

Eating foods high in water content will not only keep you hydrated they will also keep you feeling full longer.

Go on a Cleanse

Especially before beginning a weight loss program.  It resets your bodily functions and causes it to be more proficient at losing weight.

You may lose up to 15 pounds when properly putting yourself through a cleanse!  It is the not-so-secret of many Hollywood trainers and nutrition gurus use with their superstar clients.

The typical cleanse requires fasting, and then eating a strict protocol of lemon water and more unsavory things.  If you do not think you can follow a true cleanse you may want to try a modified cleanse.

Personally there is no way I could follow a true cleanse.  I have created a way to do a modified cleanse that works for me.  After I am through, food tastes completely different and I have a huge amount of energy.  If you would like to know about this please contact me.

Take Advantages of Teas and Coffee

Coffee provides the most antioxidants to the American people by far.  Remember it is just concentrated beans.

Consuming coffee and tea has been linked to reduced rates of certain diseases.

If you are sensitive to caffeine keep in mind that decaffeinated coffee and tea have equal antioxidants as their caffeinated counterparts.

There are 100s of different types of tea so start drinking!  You may find one you like.

If you drink caffeinated tea and coffee make sure to slightly increase your water intake.  Caffeine is a diuretic and can lead to dehydration if you aren't careful.

What is the best thing about coffee and tea?  0 calories!

Eat for Variety

My most helpful strategy for myself is eating a large variety of foods, especially snacks.

When you eat a large variety of different healthy foods, you are less likely to overeat on one specific food.

Eat Less by Eating More

If you eat 4-6 small meals & snacks a day instead of the typical 2 or 3 you will be less likely to eat an excess of Calories.

Eating small meals / snacks more often can also increase your metabolism which leads to a more lean body.

Don't be Afraid to Waste Food

If you are like me, you finish every last crumb on your plate.  Ever since I was a child I was taught to eat everything on my plate and I have continued this for 29 years.

Especially while dining out, not eating the food can save the average urban adult 1000s of Calories per week.

If you feel guilty of throwing food out, don't worry, give it to homeless or put it on a city garbage receptacle.  Within minutes a city homeless or Freegan will definitely put it to use.  Now you can feel good about yourself for helping somebody out!

Have a Sweet Tooth?

Satisfy your sweet tooth after your training sessions.  After an intense training session, your body is craving sugar to replenish you blood glucose and muscle glycogen.
