Anabolic steroids are synthetic versions of the male hormone testosterone.  Steroids are an illegal drug in the United States.  Some are prescribed by doctors in the case of muscle wasting diseases.

 

In some countries steroids are legal and widely used.  I remember being in Brazil and every gym had a pharmacy next to it.  Coincidence?  I think not.

 

Steroids are also banned in all athletic competitions which everybody knows from watching the drug scandals in professional baseball and seeing numerous suspensions in professional football as well.

 

I do not claim to be an expert on steroids.  I have never used steroids but have done my fair share of research.  For the most part, I believe all steroids are addictive drugs in which people can develop a dependency.

 

Just keep in mind, steroids were designed to be anabolic.  This means they help build muscle.  No steroids help you burn fat directly.  So like most people who have fat covering their muscles, steroids are definitely not the answer.

 

All steroids have moderate to severe negative side effects so prolonged use is definitely dangerous.

 

I am 100% against the use of steroids but I do encourage you to do your own research on steroids.
